Spring Time Dress from Lulus

Hi friends! So I'm here to share all the details on this amazing Lulus dress that I love.  It's the perfect dress for Spring (and even Summer).  I feel like it's also the kind of dress that you don't really need any other accessories or other items of clothing to dress it up.  It's perfect by it's self.

The sandals that I'm wearing are also from Lulus and I will link them at the end of this post. The exact purse that I wore is no longer available but I will link a similar one from Lulus. Of course, if you have a special occasion to wear this to, a pair of nude heels or wedges would go perfectly with it. Or even a leather jacket would look great with it for colder temperatures.  This dress also comes in Navy.

Hope you guys enjoyed these details! Let me know if you have any questions.  Have a great day!

My New Favorite Hair Products: Via Haircare Review

Hi friends! I tend to get a lot of questions and comments about my hair so now it's time for me to spill all the deets! First of all, yes I am a natural blonde.  However, as I got into my late teens, my hair began to darken into more of a "dark blonde".  When I was 20, and with connections through my brother, I got a job as a receptionist at a hair salon and soon became friends with a hairstylist there named Amber (*Fun Fact* Thank god I met Amber because she eventually introduced me to my soon-to-be husband!).  Anyways, Amber began coloring my hair and I was immediately hooked.  Hair coloring is one of those things where it's hard to stop once you start.  With that said, the texture and feel of my hair began to change as time went on.  I was born with stick straight hair that could never hold a curl longer than 10 minutes.  But once I started coloring my hair, it got easier to curl my hair and it holds curls longer than it used to (yay!).  Now, I am not saying that my situation will happen for everyone, but it clearly did for me.

The down side of coloring your hair, means that it usually looses moisture easily and becomes more dry and coarse.  And if you're going for a platinum blonde look, your roots will start to show very quickly (bummer!).  Now that I've been coloring my hair for a few years, I've been searching for the right products that will truly benefit my hair and I think I've found it! Via Haircare is a haircare company out of Beverly Hills, California.  All of their products are cruelty-free (hooray!), contain zero sulfates or parabens, are infused with Botanical extracts and Keratin proteins, have UV protection, and are anti-fade color safe! For someone like me that's been dying their hair for years, discovering this brand was a real dream come true!

So far, I have used their Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner, Leave-In Conditioner Spray, and their Moisturizing Hair Masque.  All of which smell amazing! And of course, they leave my hair feeling so soft and smooth.

This is a brand that I highly recommend especially if you have color-treated hair.  If you regularly color your hair, it's really important that you use a shampoo and conditioner that help protect the color that you just paid a lot of money to be put in your hair.  It's almost like throwing money down the drain if you're sticking to drugstore brands that wash your color out of your hair quicker than you want.

Hope you enjoyed this review of Via Haircare products!  You can check them out online, here.  Feel free to leave me a comment if you have any questions : ) Take care, friends!

Not My Cup of Trends

Hello again! As promised, I wanted to do a blog post where I talk about some trends that I actually do not care for and that seem to be everywhere at the moment.  Everyday I scroll Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and these trends flood my feed! I literally can't go through ten pictures without seeing one of them. I understand that a lot of people love these trends, but for me, they are just not my cup of tea (hence the title of this blog post). Now, I want to make it clear that I am NOT bashing on other fashion bloggers or making fun of anyone. I do feel that these trends look good on other people, I just do not think they would look good on me and I simply would not feel comfortable wearing them.

Let's get started...

1. Flare Pants
Bell-bottoms, flare pants, whatever you want to call it, I simply am just not a fan of these.  My go-to pant leg is mostly always straight legged, which is why you most likely will never see me wearing these : )

2.  Mules
Flat mules, heeled mules, slipper mules....No thank you!

3. Vertical Stripes
Okay, we all know I'm obsessed with stripes...BUT I just cannot get into the thick, vertical stripes that I see here and there.  I think it just reminds me too much of a Foot Locker employee or a referee, or even a witch costume?...anyone else?

4. Cold-Shoulder
I can't get into this cold shoulder trend... I'm not really sure why but I do feel like I would actually have "cold shoulders" if I were to wear one of these and I simply do not like being cold!  Plus, I'm just not a fan of the cut outs on the shoulder area.

5. Bell-Sleeves
Does this make me a bad fashion blogger if I don't like bell sleeves?  Well, I'm sorry but I just can't pretend that I like this trend.  I could probably deal with a small bell sleeve but definitely not the dramatic bell sleeved as pictured above.

6. Fuzzy Slipper Mules
I remember the very first time I saw these worn on a big name fashion blogger and I thought "Oh my goodness, I can't believe she's wearing those!" And that seemed to spread like wildfire and now they are everywhere.  Yes, they look comfy, but I just can't get into the style.

7. What kind of purse is this even called??
A straw purse? A wooden purse?  Will I get splinters if I wear it? This seems to be the go-to Spring purse at the moment, but you will not see me wearing this at all....Sorry!

8. Ruffles
Yes, you heard right...I am not a fan of ruffles! Especially dramatic ruffled sleeves like the one pictured above. And of course, I feel like I'm the only blogger out there that doesn't like them : /

So there you have it! Trends that I'm just not that into (if at all). Phew! Feels good to get that off my chest, you know?

Are there any trends on here that you don't care for as well? I'd love to know! Leave a comment below : )

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you have a great day!
